This shirt comes in two versions.
One just has the integrals on the front, and the other adds an explanation on the back.
The explanation looks like this:
Without the explanation, the math forms a perfectly innocuous and reasonably impenetrable expression that will utterly confuse most of the general public. With the explanation the shirt becomes, if anything, even geekier. (Okay, so being obscure has some inherent geek value; which version scores higher on the geekiness scale is a matter of opinion; you decide.) Unlike the shirt with the integral followed by a question mark, the math on this one does, in fact, evaluate to 42. If that doesn't seem particularly Significant, then we refer you to Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for further reading, as 42 is revealed to be the Answer to the Great Question of Life, the Universe and Everything in that tale. If you've never read it, trust us when we say that the collected jokes and lore in the Guide and its sequels has become heavily embedded in technogeek culture.
